This latest iteration of our iOS app boasts several exciting features and enhancements to guarantee a more efficient and user-friendly experience. These improvements are divided into three primary categories: screen recording, Siri shortcuts, and a brand-new home screen.

1. Screen recording
If you have been eagerly awaiting the release of Hippo Video’s screen recording feature, then you will be pleased to know that it is now available! With just a few taps of your finger, you can start capturing the entire display of your iPhone or iPad in a matter of seconds.
The new update offers an incredibly convenient two-step process – either open up the Hippo Video app and hit the record screen button, or access it through your device’s control center by swiping down from the top-right corner. You’ll be presented with a variety of available screen recording providers to choose from, select Hippo Video to begin. After recording your video, users will be able to preview what they’ve captured so far and add titles or make further changes before sharing it with others.
The added accessibility this feature provides makes recording smooth and seamless. With one tap you can instantly capture what is happening on your device at any given time; perfect for creating tutorials and instructional videos!
2. Siri shortcuts
If you’re looking for an efficient way to increase your productivity and record videos while on-the-go, Siri shortcuts are the perfect solution. With a single voice command, Hippo Video will instantly respond.
By creating voice personalized shortcuts using Siri for everyday tasks in Hippo Video, users are able to save a lot of time while still generating excellent quality videos. Such tasks include recording video with the camera, using teleprompter, utilizing video flows and importing video from iPhone/iPad devices.
Before Siri shortcuts were launched, users had to search manually through the Hippo Video app before they could carry out these activities; however, now it’s much faster and more convenient to perform any of these tasks simply by using voice commands.
Siri shortcuts are highly beneficial for anyone who might need to create videos on-the-go without having to spend too much time navigating the app or typing commands.
3. Home screen
We have recently rolled out a brand new home screen to our app, giving users the chance to access five of our most popular options from one centralized location. Now, when you open the app, you will be presented with quick links to record, teleprompter, video flows, screen record and import – all in just one place.
Previously, the user journey was quite laborious. Following the default library landing page and accessing the +create floating icon could take up to six taps on the screen before anything else could happen. This made for an unnecessarily difficult experience for users.
To improve this situation significantly and make life easier for all users of our app, we have introduced a home screen full of intuitive features that allow you to quickly launch any of our five most popular functions with no more than two taps. As well as being time-saving and efficient, this home screen also adds an extra layer of convenience and comfort; providing a much smoother user experience right off the bat.
