Hippo Video lets you record your webcam/screen and share them with your support team. Hippo Video’s super easy interface makes it simple for your agents and customers to create videos.

Here’s how you integrate Hippo Video with Salesforce

Once you are done installing Hippo Video, you just need to provide your Desk API Token to get started.

  • You will be provided with an installation URL. As you access the URL, you can click on the ‘Install’ button to get started.
  • Once you are done installing Hippo Video, you will be asked to approve the app to communicate with the external website(s) [Hippo video]
  • Check the SSL encrypted box and click on ‘Continue’
    An admin account with your email-id will be created automatically with Hippo Video.
    P.S: Hippo Video widget works only with Salesforce Lightning UI.
    After Hippo Video has been successfully installed,
  • Go to Service Cloud -> ‘Case Tab’ -> Click on one of the tickets, click on the -> Edit Page.
  • In the ‘Lightning Components’ section, you will be provided with the app builder. Drag and drop the Hippo Video component to the page layout.
  • Click on ‘Save’ button. You will now be redirected to the Ticket page and you’ll notice Hippo Video component.

To enable Hippo Video widget for your users in your organization, all you have to do is,

  • Click on the on the top right and select ‘Setup’. Once the Setup page opens, type ‘installed packages’ in the quick search box and select the ‘Installed Packages’ option.
  • Now, click on Configure and a new window will pop up displaying the list of users in your Organization. Alternatively, you can click on the Package Name which takes you to another page where you can click on Configure to add users.
